Plug Into the Power of Prayer

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. – Jude 1:20

The Bible teaches the children of God to pray and Faith Church of Sherman believes in the power of prayer! Our strong faith in God, which is built on His Word, guides us as we call on His name for answers to our every need. Prayer brings forth healing, prayer brings forth salvation, and prayer brings us closer to our Lord. God’s Word unequivocally guides us to claim all of our blessings by calling on Him:

Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. – Mark 11:24

When Faith Church gathers together, we seek the perfect will of God and the abundant miracles and blessings He so readily wishes to pour out upon those in need. As the book of 1 Timothy guides us to do, we not only call on God for our own needs, we also dedicate prayer time specifically for intercession for others:

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Senior Pastor Ryan Cernero, Associate Pastor Dr. Aaron Cernero, and Associate Pastor Eli Brown, along with the entire congregation, invite you to gather together with us as we pray for our families, our friends, our community, and our country.

We are located just 60 minutes north of Dallas, Texas and have opportunities to gather throughout the week. On Sunday, we have Sunday school for all ages beginning at 9:45 AM, morning worship at 11:00am, and evening worship at 6:00pm. We gather again on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm for our midweek worship and message. We also come together on Monday evenings at 7:30pm for intercessory prayer service.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7.
