Faith Church Hosts Free Fall Festival October 7

The annual Fall Fest at Faith Church will be held on Saturday, October 7. This family-friendly event runs from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on the Faith Church grounds.

Fall Fest will feature a variety of activities including a petting zoo, balloon artist, puppet booth, pony rides, giant slides, face painting and much more. “Every year we try to expand and enhance the event,” explains event coordinator Linda Morgan.

Little ones will enjoy many different booths where they can play games and win prizes. The event will also feature the popular face painting booth in addition to crafts and activities for children. The Cake Wheel is a perennial favorite among kids and adults, with participants taking advantage of the chance to win homemade goodies.

The Faith Fit Obstacle Course was a popular attraction the last couple of years and will return this year with new added obstacles. This year’s Fall Fest will also offer a rock wall for kids of all ages and the petting zoo includes riding horses which are back by popular demand.

Free food and drinks will be available at the event, including red beans and rice along with the standard festival fare such as grilled hot dogs and popcorn, as well as cotton candy which is a new addition this year!

Admission to the event is free. Faith Church is located at 1800 Heritage Parkway in Sherman, at the northwest corner of Highway 1417 and Taylor Street. For more information, call 903.893.0349 visit online at
