Faith Church of Sherman, Texas is hosting a free Wellness Symposium on Saturday, February 10 at 9:00am to 12:00 noon. The Wellness Symposium will include a wellness expo with health education booths and exhibits, seminars on healthy living, and free screenings – all with the goal of helping participants improve their health and wellness.
“We all want to live long, healthy lives,” explains Dr. Aaron Cernero, a local surgeon and one of the Associate Pastors at Faith Church. “But the goal should not be to simply live longer, but to have a better quality of life. That’s why we are offering this Wellness Symposium.”
“This event will provide education to help people live better, healthier lives,” continues Dr. Cernero. “The purpose of preventative medicine is to prevent disease or catch it early so that people feel better, live better, take fewer medications, and ultimately stay healthier – and happier – as long as they live.”
The Wellness Symposium will feature two speakers. Lauri Scheidel Armstrong, a Degreed Dietician and Functional Nutritionist, will discuss “The One Thing That Can Improve Your Health.” We can all do one simple thing to live better and enhance our health and wellness. Nicole Morgan, an Occupational Therapist and Wellness Coach as well as one of the event’s organizers, will present “Changing Your Lifestyle…Change Your Life!” She’ll provide tips and resources to improve your lifestyle for better health, as well as the inspiration and motivation to get started.
Faith Church invites you to each of our annual wellness symposiums.
